We disregard the voting booths
making the deliberative body powerless
all because we’ve become full time floating meat cutters
of our own lives
turning our children into narcissists
with high praise and constant reward
Politicians need to print clearly their goals
not sling mud to show the dirty underbelly
we all know is there
No longer can we look with unclouded eyes
at the judgment we cast upon one another
