It seems to me, 
Jesus was woke. 

The founding fathers tried to be woke. 
Arrogance and greed got in the way.

Thus, systemic racism and class warfare prevailed.

How does being aware and attentive create 
an existential threat to our nation?

Are we not United? 

E pluribus unum,
Out of many one.

When you pick up the torch of nationalism,
decrying societal facts and issues,
claiming to be Christian, 

You are spitting in the face of Jesus.
