How Do I Stop From Passing on My Prejudice 

Am I truly unpretentious enough
To decry my own judgments
That I regularly draw
From a glance
Or snippet of conversation

Can I reverse course

And teach my children
To keep their eyes
As unclouded
As they were
In the first years of their lives
