In September I began sketching
The Babe Ruth baseball games

Some sketches looked like
Angry gorillas
With fish bowls on their heads
Or monkeys in a pickle

I’d berate myself for not reaching
My own unreachable standards

I was about to give up
When I learned

Perspective is the key

That opens all the locks
Imprisoning happiness
